Sound, Style & Sips: Ravenswood's Late August Lineup Is Absolutely Stacked

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Ravenswood ·

August isn't slowing down in Ravenswood — if anything, the neighborhood is saving some of its best for last. A trio of community events hitting the calendar in the coming weeks means there's something for just about every neighbor, whether you're into live music, indie fashion finds, or a good trivia night.

First up: the Thirsty Ears Festival rolls into 1758 W. Wilson Ave. on Saturday, August 22nd at 2:00 PM — bringing live music energy right to the heart of the neighborhood. Then, on Sunday, August 23rd, 4325 N. Ravenswood Ave. transforms into a vibrant bazaar as Fresa Fests hosts its Pinterest WRLD Market, a massive trinket and fashion market running from noon onwards that's tailor-made for treasure hunters and indie shopping lovers. And if you need a midweek refresh, Cultivate by Forbidden Root is hosting a Gilmore Girls Trivia Night on Thursday, August 20th at 7:00 PM — the kind of hyper-specific, ultra-fun event that only a neighborhood like Ravenswood could pull off with style. Rounding out the week, the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Forging Connections: August Happy Hour at the KOVAL Tasting Room on August 20th at 5:30 PM — a perfect chance to mix, mingle, and meet fellow neighbors over local spirits.

It's a full, feel-good stretch of late summer in one of Chicago's most community-driven neighborhoods. Mark your calendars, bring your friends, and head to ravenswoodchicago.org to stay up to date on everything happening this August!
