Rogers Park's Beloved Taco Crawl Returns Next Week to Newly Designated Cultural District
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Rogers Park ·
This year's highly anticipated Rogers Park Taco Crawl will be hosted within the newly state-designated Mexican Cultural District, Camino Clark. The district celebrates the unique cultural identity of Clark Street in Rogers Park while encouraging economic development through events that support local Mexican restaurants and small business owners.
Set for Thursday, July 17, from 3-7 p.m., the popular event organized by the nonprofit Rogers Park Business Alliance will feature twenty-two restaurants along Clark Street between Devon and Rogers Avenues. Participants can choose between two taco routes, named Cilantro and Maíz, each offering eleven restaurants. Advance tickets are available online for $25 per route. Check-in and pre-paid passport pickup will be available at 6950 N. Clark St. from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with restaurants stopping service at 7 p.m. A free photo booth will be on-site to commemorate the taco extravaganza.
The event is especially significant this year as it celebrates the Camino Clark district, which focuses on promoting the area's cultural identity while empowering local business owners. The Rogers Park community continues to show its strength through food and cultural celebrations, with neighbors coming together to support local businesses and each other during challenging times. Don't miss this chance to explore Rogers Park's vibrant Mexican food scene – get your tickets early as they're limited!
