Country Western-Themed Corral House Bar & Grill Set to Open in Gladstone Park This Friday

The Jefferson Park area is about to welcome an exciting new dining destination as the country western-themed Corral House Bar & Grill prepares to open its doors at 5527 N. Milwaukee Ave. this Friday, October 24. The new establishment comes from familiar faces in the local restaurant scene, including Maria Speciale, who also owns District House bar in Jefferson Park, and her partner Dave Canavan, owner of Emerald Isle in Edison Park and Wrigleyville North.

The restaurant takes over the former Cafe Marbella space, which closed last spring after 14 years serving tapas to the neighborhood. Before that, the location housed Villa D'Oro Ristorante. Speciale reportedly discovered the vacant space while driving around the area and quickly signed a lease before convincing her longtime friend Canavan to join the venture. Visitors attending the grand opening celebration, which kicks off at 4 p.m., will be treated to a complimentary buffet featuring samplings from the menu. The new restaurant is located on the east side of Milwaukee Avenue between Menard and Bryn Mawr in the Gladstone Park business corridor.
