Devil Dawgs Brings Chicago-Style Hot Dogs to Andersonville in Former Reza's Location

Devil Dawgs has officially opened its newest location in Andersonville at 5259 N. Clark St. this month. The local hot dog chain has taken over half of the former home of Reza's, a popular and longstanding Persian restaurant that closed its doors in 2023.

Andersonville residents can enjoy the same Devil Dawgs menu available at other locations, including the classic Chicago hot dog, jumbo spicy sausage, and Italian beef sandwich. The location also plans to offer an outdoor patio, making it a perfect addition to the neighborhood's vibrant culinary scene. This marks the sixth location for the growing chain, which now has four other spots across Chicago—in Lakeview, Wicker Park, Gold Coast, and South Loop—plus one in Evanston. Adding to the excitement, Demijohn, a new cocktail bar from the Pizza Lobo team, is slated to open in the rear of the same building, while Devil Dawgs occupies the front portion.

With the final Andersonville Farmers Market of the season happening today at its location on the 1500 block of Winona, residents can make a day of supporting local businesses by visiting both the market and stopping by Devil Dawgs for a classic Chicago meal. The hot dog chain's arrival brings new life to a cornerstone building that has long been an important part of the neighborhood landscape.
