State Senator Robert Martwick and Arts Alive Chicago are set to hold a dedication ceremony for the new "NW Art Trail Walk" this Saturday, October 4, at 10 a.m. at Parkway Bank on Milwaukee Avenue. The trail features five new sculptures recently installed along Milwaukee Avenue through Jefferson Park and extending into the Six Corners/Portage Park area.
The public art installation represents a collaborative effort to beautify the Northwest Side business corridors and create a more vibrant atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. Community members are encouraged to attend the dedication ceremony to learn more about the sculptures and the artists behind them. The event will begin at Parkway Bank, located at 4858 N. Milwaukee Ave., where attendees can gather before exploring the new art trail.
This latest cultural addition continues the trend of revitalization in Jefferson Park, following recent business openings and community improvements. Residents looking to enjoy public art can now take a leisurely stroll along Milwaukee Avenue to appreciate these new sculptures. The NW Art Trail Walk joins other community initiatives designed to enhance the neighborhood's appeal and strengthen its cultural identity.
