Christkindlmarket Returns to Wrigleyville After Year-Long Hiatus

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Wrigleyville ·

Holiday cheer is making its way back to Wrigleyville as Christkindlmarket announced its return to the neighborhood after skipping 2024. The beloved German-inspired holiday market will transform Gallagher Way from November 23 through December 31, bringing with it over 30 vendor booths, ice bumper cars, holiday movie nights, and wreath-making workshops.

The market's return comes after a one-year absence when the popular attraction had to skip Wrigleyville due to the Blackhawks hosting the Winter Classic. This year's market will operate Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The neighborhood market is excited to welcome back many of its staple vendors, including Austrian Lodge and Bob's Belgian Hot Chocolate, offering visitors authentic German treats and unique holiday gifts.

Unlike previous years, the Gallagher Ice Rink will operate through February 15, but activities inside Wrigley Field itself will be limited to a holiday train running through the concourse, different from the 2023 installment that featured an ice rink positioned in the outfield. Residents and visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars for this festive tradition that has become a cherished part of Wrigleyville's holiday season.
