New Vibrant Mural Project Beautifies Pulaski Corridor in Archer Heights

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Archer Heights ·

Archer Heights is getting more colorful this month as local artists collaborate with the Archer Heights Civic Association (AHCA) on a new community mural project along the Pulaski Corridor. The initiative, which began last week, aims to transform blank building facades into vibrant public art celebrating the neighborhood's diverse cultural heritage.

The project is part of a broader beautification effort supported by the Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF), which opened applications for the Pulaski Corridor in October 2023. Several businesses along the commercial strip have enthusiastically provided wall space for the murals, with work scheduled to continue through mid-November, weather permitting.

"This arts initiative strengthens our community bonds while enhancing the visual appeal of our business district," said a representative from AHCA, which continues its active role in neighborhood improvement initiatives. Residents interested in viewing the artwork in progress or learning about upcoming community beautification projects can contact the Archer Heights Civic Association through their website at ahcivic.org.
