One of a Kind Hospitality Expands Logan Square Presence with New Tacos del Barrio Restaurant

A Chicago hospitality group is betting big on Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square with the opening of a new fast-casual Mexican restaurant. One of a Kind Hospitality, which already operates neighborhood favorites like Café Con Leche and La Victoria, is launching Tacos del Barrio at the former Furious Spoon location at 2410 N. Milwaukee Ave. The group is also planning a new bar next door, though details haven't been finalized yet.

Hani, a Logan Square native who owns One of a Kind Hospitality, continues to invest in his neighborhood where he already operates several businesses along Milwaukee Avenue, including the Harding Tavern, Saba, Mr. E's, Red Star Liquor & Deli, The Walk In, Café Con Leche, and La Victoria. "We have the beautiful boulevards, we have transportation, we have the density and it's a neighborhood people love to walk in," Hani noted, adding that "a lot of the bigger restaurants are now looking at Logan Square."

The neighborhood has indeed seen significant growth in its restaurant scene in recent years. Eat Well Hospitality doubled down on Logan Square when it opened modern Greek restaurant Andros Taverna and Italian restaurant Mano a Mano, while Four Corners hospitality group opened a second Federales in the area and popular Italian restaurant Daisies expanded its footprint with a bar. Chef Patrick Bouaphanh is also set to open the next evolution of his popular sushi restaurant Jinsei Motto in the neighborhood before year-end. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to support these local establishments and experience the diverse culinary scene that continues to make Logan Square one of Chicago's most vibrant dining destinations.
