By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·
Andersonville's vibrant culinary scene is taking center stage this week with the neighborhood's inaugural Autumn Restaurant Week, running from November 1 through November 9. The event builds on the success of the neighborhood's winter restaurant week traditionally held in February, offering residents and visitors another opportunity to explore Andersonville's diverse dining options during the fall season.
With 17 participating restaurants—more than the winter event's typical 12-15—the autumn edition is already showing promise. Last year's winter restaurant week attracted approximately 70,000 visitors to the neighborhood, a 20,000-person increase from the previous week. Prix-fixe menus range from $20 for lunch to $48 for dinner, with some establishments offering more affordable options, like Pizza Lobo's
Andersonville residents and Chicago foodies are encouraged to support local businesses during what can be a challenging economic season. As Charlie Wein, director of marketing and communications for the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, explains, "Restaurant week is a very simple and easy way to promote the neighborhood, especially going into this new holiday season."
