Andersonville's Viking Pub Crawl Returns This Weekend with Nordic-Themed Festivities

Andersonville is embracing its Scandinavian heritage this Saturday, November 15, with the return of the neighborhood's beloved Viking Pub Crawl. The popular event invites residents to don their Viking attire and explore the district's diverse drinking establishments along Clark Street.

The crawl arrives just after the conclusion of the successful inaugural Andersonville Autumn Restaurant Week, which wrapped up on November 9 with 17 participating establishments. "Events like these really showcase the unique character of our neighborhood," explains Charlie Wein, director of marketing and communications for the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce. Participants can begin their Nordic adventure at the Swedish American Museum (5211 N. Clark), where registration includes a commemorative drinking vessel and map of participating venues.

Local businesses are preparing special Nordic-themed drink offerings for the occasion, providing a taste of Scandinavian culture while supporting the community that has earned its reputation as the "Shop Local Capital of Chicago." Residents interested in participating can purchase tickets through the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce website, with early registration encouraged as the event has historically sold out.
