Logan Square's vibrant arts scene takes center stage this weekend as The Lincoln Lodge hosts the fourth annual Latina Comedy Festival from November 13-15, showcasing a record-breaking 20 comedy showcases featuring performers from across North America.

The festival, organized by Las Locas Comedy, has expanded dramatically since its 2022 inception, now offering performances in English, Spanish, and Spanglish across multiple theaters in the venue at 2040 N. Milwaukee Avenue. This year's event introduces several Spanish-only standup performances for the first time, highlighting the diversity within Logan Square's thriving Latino cultural landscape. "There's diversity within the diversity, and that's something we'll be proud of," notes festival co-founder Janice Rodriguez, who created the event after recognizing the need for spaces dedicated to Latina comedy voices.

Logan Square residents and comedy enthusiasts are encouraged to purchase tickets online for this weekend's performances, which will feature well-known Chicago talents including Melissa DuPrey and Gwen La Roka alongside emerging comics. The Lincoln Lodge, operating as a non-profit dedicated to promoting comedy and providing opportunities for local artists, offers an intimate setting with no drink minimum for this community-centered celebration during Hispanic Heritage Month.
