Trash People of Logan Square Partners with Artifact Records for Fall Community Cleanup Event

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Logan Square ·

Logan Square residents are coming together to beautify their neighborhood through a unique partnership between Trash People of Logan Square and local business Artifact Records. The community cleanup event, scheduled for this Saturday, marks one of the final neighborhood beautification efforts of the season before winter arrives.

The cleanup, organized by the grassroots collective Trash People, brings neighbors together at Artifact Records on Milwaukee Avenue for a morning of community service and connection. The event continues the group's mission of combining neighborhood beautification with community building, offering residents a chance to meet neighbors while making a visible difference in their surroundings. Since launching in 2022, Trash People has organized over 130 neighborhood cleanups across Chicago, contributing more than 10,000 volunteer hours to community beautification efforts while fostering lasting connections between participants. The gatherings typically include social activities, starting at local coffee shops or culminating with happy hours at neighborhood businesses, emphasizing the group's commitment to supporting local establishments while strengthening community bonds.

Logan Square residents interested in participating in this weekend's cleanup can register through Eventbrite, though spots fill quickly as events are typically capped at 45 participants. Those unable to join this weekend's event can follow Trash People on social media for announcements about future cleanups and community initiatives, including their popular volunteer fairs that connect residents with local service opportunities.
