Andersonville Debuts Free Holiday Trolley Service for December Shopping Weekend
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·
Andersonville shoppers will have a festive new way to explore the neighborhood's beloved independent businesses this holiday season. The Andersonville Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of their complimentary Holiday Trolley service, scheduled for December 13-14, 2025, from 11AM to 4PM each day.
The trolley will coincide with several seasonal events, including Cookie Decorating with Santa and a special Menorah Candle Lighting ceremony, both taking place on December 14. These festivities mark the culmination of Andersonville's extensive holiday programming, which begins with Small Business Saturday on November 29 and the neighborhood Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 30. The free transportation service will make continuous loops throughout the Clark Street corridor, allowing visitors to hop on and off at various shopping destinations while enjoying the neighborhood's distinctive Scandinavian holiday charm.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to support Andersonville's reputation as the "Shop Local Capital of Chicago" by exploring the district's diverse collection of independent retailers, many of which will offer special promotions during the holiday shopping season. For complete details on trolley stops and event schedules, Andersonville residents can visit the Chamber of Commerce website or stop by their office at 1554 W Hollywood.
