Luxury Streetwear Brand Kith Debuts Two-Story Flagship in Near North's Gold Coast

Near North shoppers have a stylish new destination as Kith, the renowned New York-based streetwear brand, has officially opened its first Midwest flagship in Chicago. Located near the Magnificent Mile at 54 E. Walton St., the two-story store is more than a retail destination—it's a striking architectural statement that sets a new standard for luxury streetwear in the city.

Designed by founder Ronnie Fieg and executed with Ben Porto of Porto Architecture, the impressive space features a striking leathered Belatrix Stone façade framed in brass. Inside, the two-storey design creates a luxurious contrast: the men's first floor utilizes dark walnut millwork for an intimate feel, while the second floor, dedicated to Women's and Kids' collections, is defined by lighter Rosa Aurora Macchia Vecchia marble and a custom helix chandelier. The flagship offers Kith's complete in-house line alongside curated footwear, apparel, and lifestyle goods, and also houses Chicago's first Kith Treats location.

To commemorate the grand opening, Kith released a special merchandise drop and sneaker collaboration with ASICS titled "World's Fair," paying tribute to the "shared heritage of the World's Fair between Chicago (1933-1934) and Queens (1939, 1964)." The collection features eight shoes designed and inspired by past World's Fair host cities. Near North residents and fashion enthusiasts are encouraged to visit the new flagship, which adds to the neighborhood's reputation as a premier luxury shopping destination.
