Wrigleyville Winterland Expands with Ice Bumper Cars and Holiday Train for 2025 Season

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Wrigleyville ·

Winterland at Gallagher Way returns to Wrigleyville this weekend with an expanded lineup of attractions for the 2025 holiday season. After skipping last year due to the NHL Winter Classic, the popular winter destination transforms the area adjacent to Wrigley Field into a festive village featuring over 25 international and local vendors, creating a complete holiday experience beyond the traditional Christkindlmarket offerings. Visitors can shop for unique gifts while warming up with mulled wine or hot chocolate.

This year's Winterland introduces several new attractions, including ice bumper cars, a holiday train experience, and wreath-making workshops. The expanded ice rink will operate through February 15, significantly longer than in previous years, giving residents more opportunities to enjoy winter recreation. Admission to Gallagher Way remains free, though tickets for specific attractions and rides can be purchased on-site. The festivities officially begin Sunday, November 23, coinciding with the opening of Christkindlmarket Wrigleyville, creating a comprehensive holiday destination for North Side families looking to celebrate the season closer to home. Wrigleyville residents and visitors alike are encouraged to make an evening of exploring the expanded winter village, which serves as a perfect complement to other neighborhood establishments decorated for the holiday season.
