Trinity Galewood Church Expands Winter Community Outreach Program for 2025-2026
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Galewood ·
Galewood residents facing food insecurity this winter season have a new resource to look forward to as Trinity Galewood Church announces an expansion of its community outreach program for the 2025-2026 winter months. The church, located at 1651 N Natchez Ave, is partnering with Galewood Neighbors, Inc. to provide free services to community members on the first Saturday of each month.
Building on their successful monthly food distribution program, Fatso Hard Kitchen LLC will continue providing 50 pre-packaged meals at each session, available on a first-come, first-served basis. "We're expanding our community support during the winter months when neighbors most need connection," shared a representative from the organization. The expanded program includes not only food assistance but also additional community services designed to support residents throughout the coldest season.
Residents interested in participating in or volunteering for the winter community outreach program can find more information by contacting Trinity Galewood Church directly or visiting the Galewood Neighbors website. This expanded initiative further strengthens Galewood's reputation as a close-knit, supportive neighborhood where residents work together to care for one another during challenging times.
