By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Pullman ·

West Pullman residents are celebrating a significant milestone as Habitat for Humanity Chicago nears completion of the first block of four townhomes in its ambitious 20-unit development project. Located across the street from the future 12-acre Morgan Park Commons, these new two-story homes feature individual garages and are situated near community green spaces, representing a meaningful investment in the neighborhood's future.

"We are proud to deepen our investment in West Pullman through this 20-unit townhome project," stated Jennifer Parks, Habitat Chicago's Executive Director. "West Pullman has many incredible assets on which to build, and inviting 20 new homebuyers to invest in this community alongside other long-tenured homeowners creates a lasting impact both at an individual and neighborhood level." All units will be sold through Habitat Chicago's Affordable Homeownership Program, where qualified homebuyers receive financial education and pay no more than 30% of their gross income on mortgage and home expenses. Residents interested in learning more about homeownership opportunities or volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Chicago can visit their website or attend upcoming community meetings where representatives will discuss future phases of the project.
