West Pullman to Welcome New 100-Key Hotel Near Pullman National Monument
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Pullman ·
West Pullman residents have reason to celebrate as City Council recently approved a $2.9 million Tax Increment Financing (TIF) grant to support a new 100-key hotel development at 11030 S. Doty Ave. East. The $30.9 million project by Pullman Hotel Group LLC will transform 2.6 acres of vacant land into a vibrant hospitality destination to accommodate visitors to the Pullman National Monument, Pullman Community Center, and the Pullman Park mixed-use campus.
The development represents a significant economic boost for Chicago's Far South Side, with construction expected to begin in 2026. Once completed, the hotel will create 25 permanent jobs for area residents, with TIF funding provided through the North Pullman and Lake Calumet Area Industrial TIF district. This project joins other major investments in the neighborhood, including the Far South Community Development Corporation's ambitious $200 million commercial corridor revitalization plan for 115th and Halsted streets.
Community members interested in learning more about employment opportunities and the hotel's impact on local businesses can attend upcoming West Pullman Community Association meetings, where project representatives will share additional details about the development timeline and community benefits.
