Archer Heights Civic Association to Host Winter Holiday Market Supporting Local Artisans
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Archer Heights ·
The Archer Heights Civic Association (AHCA) has announced plans to host its inaugural Winter Holiday Market on Saturday, December 5, 2025, at the UNO Veterans Memorial Campus. This festive community initiative aims to showcase local artisans and small businesses while providing residents with a neighborhood-focused shopping experience ahead of the holiday season.
The event builds upon the success of the neighborhood's community engagement efforts, including the recently completed Moving Archer Forward development planning initiative. "This holiday market represents our commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and strengthening neighborhood bonds," said a representative from the AHCA, which has been serving the community since 1938. The market will feature handcrafted goods, seasonal treats, and family-friendly activities, reinforcing Archer Heights' identity as what longtime AHCA president Stan Lihosit describes as "a neighborhood of families."
Community members interested in participating as vendors or volunteers can contact the Archer Heights Civic Association at (773) 843-2232 or visit their website at ahcivic.org. The association encourages all neighborhood residents to attend both the upcoming holiday market and their regular monthly meetings, which continue to shape community development along the vital Archer Avenue corridor.
