Palmer Square Welcomes New Winter Bazaar in Former Extraordinarium Space
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Palmer Square ·
Palmer Square residents will soon have a new community gathering spot with the launch of the Logan Square Winter Bazaar on November 29 in the former Extraordinarium retail space. Unlike temporary holiday markets, this winter-long initiative will provide a consistent weekend destination, as the bazaar will operate every Saturday through March 29, 2026.
The market will showcase a variety of handcrafted items from local artisans, offering everything from traditional crafts to modern handicrafts. Visitors can expect special events throughout the season, including family activities, pop-up cafes, and entertainment for all ages. The Winter Bazaar arrives at a perfect time for Palmer Square, which recently made history when its park received Level I arboretum accreditation from the ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program in September 2025, becoming the first Chicago Park District property to earn this distinction.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to support local makers by visiting the bazaar during its inaugural weekend, which coincides with Small Business Saturday celebrations throughout Chicago neighborhoods. For those interested in volunteering or participating as vendors, contact information can be found through the Palmer Square Park Advisory Council website.
