New Interactive 'Skeletons on State' Display Extends Halloween Spirit in The Loop Through November
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/The Loop ·
Chicago's Loop has been transformed into a festive autumn destination with the 'Skeletons on State' interactive display, featuring 20 oversized skeletons showcasing iconic Chicago and Loop institutions. The installation, which began on October 1, will remain in place through November 3, giving residents and visitors additional time to enjoy the Halloween spirit in downtown Chicago.
According to the recently released Chicago Loop Alliance's quarter three 2025 State of the Loop report, the neighborhood continues to thrive with increased pedestrian activity and economic growth. "Late summer and early fall continued the year's trend of energy and investment in the Loop. This report showcases how economic activity, cultural programming, and infrastructure shifts are shaping the Loop's next chapter," noted Michael Edwards, President & CEO of Chicago Loop Alliance. Weekend pedestrian traffic is particularly impressive, now surpassing 2019 levels at 116%, with more demand for residential options in the area as the Loop evolves into a more complete neighborhood.
Visitors to the Loop this week can still catch the 'Skeletons on State' display while exploring the area's many restaurants, shops, and cultural institutions. The installation represents Chicago Loop Alliance's ongoing commitment to creating engaging public experiences that boost foot traffic and support local businesses. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the Loop's festive transformation before the display concludes this Sunday!
