Rush North and Harlem Medical Center Set for Grand Opening in Galewood This December
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Galewood ·
Galewood residents will soon have access to comprehensive healthcare services right in their neighborhood as the highly anticipated Rush North and Harlem outpatient center prepares for its grand opening next month. The $70 million, 60,000-square-foot state-of-the-art medical facility at the corner of North and Harlem avenues represents a significant investment in the community's health infrastructure.
The three-story medical center, built on the former Sears store site, will feature 90 exam rooms offering services ranging from urgent and primary care to specialized treatments in cardiology, neurology, and orthopedics. "It really provides an opportunity to have quality healthcare services right in the neighborhood," stated Alderman Chris Taliaferro of the 29th Ward. Convenient surface-level parking will be available for all patients and visitors, making healthcare more accessible for residents of Galewood and surrounding communities.
Community leaders are celebrating the facility as a welcome addition that enhances Galewood's appeal as a neighborhood that balances suburban tranquility with urban amenities. Residents interested in learning more about services that will be available at the new medical center can visit Rush's website for details about the December opening events, which will include facility tours and health screenings.
