Rogers Park to Welcome First-Ever 'Polar Palooza' Winter Festival Next Month
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Rogers Park ·
Rogers Park residents can look forward to a festive new tradition this holiday season as Loyola University Chicago joins forces with the Rogers Park Business Alliance and other community partners to present the inaugural 'Polar Palooza'. This two-day outdoor winter festival will bring seasonal cheer to Chicago's North Side with a vibrant celebration featuring local vendors, live music, family-friendly activities, and seasonal crafts.
The event, taking place in the plaza adjacent to the Loyola Red Line Station, will offer activities for all ages including holiday cookie decorating, a synthetic ice skating rink, face painting, and a cocoa bar. Visitors can also shop from local artisans and enjoy treats from neighborhood restaurants. In lieu of admission fees, attendees are encouraged to bring canned food donations to benefit Edgewater's Care for Real Food Pantry.
Community members interested in supporting this new neighborhood tradition can volunteer through the event's online sign-up page or simply mark their calendars to attend. The Polar Palooza represents an exciting addition to Rogers Park's community calendar and demonstrates the collaborative spirit that makes this diverse neighborhood one of Chicago's most vibrant communities.
