Rogers Park's Mercadito Market Returns to Showcase Local Artisans in Camino Clark Cultural District

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Rogers Park ·

Rogers Park residents seeking unique holiday gifts will have a perfect opportunity to support local artisans at the upcoming Holiday Mercadito Market on November 22. Hosted by the Rogers Park Business Alliance, this vibrant craft fair will transform the GROW/PROGRESANDO entrepreneurial training center at 7056 N. Clark Street into a creative marketplace from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event celebrates the creativity, culture, and entrepreneurial spirit of Camino Clark, Rogers Park's state-designated Mexican Cultural District. Local artists and small business owners will showcase handcrafted goods that reflect the neighborhood's unique traditions and diversity — from jewelry and pottery to baked treats and home décor. Every piece tells a story rooted in Rogers Park's cultural heartbeat. Special features include a free gift-wrapping station courtesy of St. Jerome Church (limit two gifts per person) and complimentary traditional Mexican Ponche (hot fruit punch) donated by local restaurant La Casa Vieja, available while supplies last.

Rogers Park residents interested in discovering unique gifts while supporting local businesses are encouraged to attend this community celebration. Camino Clark, which spans approximately two miles from Howard Street to Devon Avenue, is home to over 200 retail, dining, and service businesses that contribute to the vibrant cultural identity of Clark Street in Rogers Park.
