The Loop welcomed a refreshing new dining option as Tropical Smoothie Cafe officially opened its doors at 24 E. Madison Street, just two blocks from Grant Park. The new location, which celebrated its grand opening on November 8, marks an exciting addition to downtown's growing food scene and provides a healthy option for commuters, tourists and local residents alike.

Franchisees Cesar Coronado and Marlon Sullivan, who operate nine other Tropical Smoothie locations throughout Chicagoland, chose the prime Loop location for its vibrant energy. "We're thrilled to open in such an iconic and high-energy section of the Loop," said Coronado. "Whether people are commuting to work, heading to Grant Park, or just looking for a quick and feel-good meal, our cafe is in the perfect spot to offer a little taste of the tropics in the middle of the hustle and bustle." The duo, who won Rookie of the Year honors early in their franchise ownership journey, continues their expansion momentum after recently opening cafes in both Streeterville and Evanston.

The cafe's arrival adds to the more than 30 new businesses that have opened or plan to open in the Loop by the end of 2025, according to the Chicago Loop Alliance, contributing to the neighborhood's ongoing revival.
