TBOX 2025 Returns to Wrigleyville: Chicago's Largest Holiday Bar Crawl Set for December 13th

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Wrigleyville ·

Wrigleyville is preparing to host the 29th Annual TBOX (Twelve Bars of Xmas) on Saturday, December 13, 2025, bringing thousands of festively-dressed participants to the neighborhood for Chicago's largest and longest-running holiday pub crawl. Starting with opening ceremonies at Cubby Bear at 10 AM, the celebration will span more than 25 local establishments throughout the day.

Founded by Chris Festa in 1996 as a casual gathering for friends, TBOX has evolved into a Chicago tradition that has welcomed over 250,000 participants throughout its history. The event encourages attendees to don creative holiday costumes and onesies as they enjoy the neighborhood's vibrant bar scene. This year's crawl includes popular Wrigleyville venues like Old Crow, Stolen Saddle, Tin Roof, Moe's Cantina, Sluggers, and Pilot Project Brewing. Tickets include admission to all participating locations, free breakfast buffets, gift cards to use during the crawl, and access to special drink promotions.

With less than two weeks until the event, local businesses are preparing for the influx of visitors who will bring additional foot traffic to the neighborhood during the holiday season. The festivities complement other seasonal attractions like Christkindlmarket at Gallagher Way, creating a full day of winter celebrations in one of Chicago's most iconic neighborhoods.
