The Loop's transportation infrastructure is receiving a dramatic makeover as the highly anticipated new State/Lake L station prepares to open in 2025, featuring a striking glass canopy that will redefine the downtown skyline. This positive trend extends to tourism as well, with downtown hotels booking nearly 3.6 million room nights from June through August – a 4.3% increase over 2024 that topped pre-pandemic records.
