Winter Wonderland Market Coming to Avondale's Belmont Arts District This Weekend

Avondale residents seeking unique holiday shopping experiences have a new reason to celebrate as the Belmont Arts District announces its first Winter Wonderland Market, scheduled for December 6-7 at the historic Hairpin Arts Center. The weekend-long event will feature over 30 local artisans, craftspeople, and small business owners showcasing handmade goods, vintage items, and specialty foods.

The market builds on Avondale's growing reputation as a creative hub, recently recognized by TimeOut as the world's fifth coolest neighborhood in 2025. "This event celebrates the incredible artistic talent that makes our neighborhood special," explains Maria Vasquez, director of the Belmont Arts District. "We're creating a festive community gathering space where neighbors can connect while supporting local creators." Visitors can expect live music from neighborhood musicians, seasonal refreshments from nearby eateries, and family-friendly craft activities throughout the weekend.

Residents are encouraged to attend this inaugural community market, which runs from 11am to 7pm on Saturday and 12pm to 5pm on Sunday. The Hairpin Arts Center is located in the Morris B.
