Winter WonderFest makes its grand return to Navy Pier today, transforming the venue's Festival Hall into a spectacular indoor holiday wonderland. The beloved seasonal event, running from December 5, 2025, through January 4, 2026, features showstopping decorations including a glittering forest of trees adorned with hundreds of ornaments under shimmering white lights. Across the 170,000-square-foot space, visitors can enjoy dozens of activities from ice skating and the Polar Extreme obstacle course to more adventurous options like the 40-foot Cliff Hanger and Zero Gravity Ride.
Santa Claus will be available for festive family photos, while live music and special performances await at the Winter Wonder Stage. One of the event's highlights includes each ticket providing a complimentary ride on the iconic Centennial Wheel, offering breathtaking views of the Pier's holiday lights from nearly 200 feet above. The celebration continues with special holiday fireworks displays every Saturday and culminates with a New Year's Eve spectacle at midnight on December 31. South Loop residents are encouraged to bundle up and make the short trip to experience this cherished Chicago tradition, perfect for creating lasting holiday memories with family and friends.
