Event Horizon Gallery Expands Hours for Holiday Season, Offering Immersive Galaxy Experience in Andersonville

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·

Andersonville's Event Horizon Gallery is extending its hours through December in response to growing visitor demand for its immersive, galaxy-themed art installations. The unique gallery at 5517 N. Clark St., which was recently featured on WGN Chicago, transforms the traditional art viewing experience by creating interactive spaces that transport visitors to cosmic realms through light, sound, and participatory exhibits.

The gallery features "interactive art pieces that engage guests in the space and make them feel as though they've entered another world." Normally open just three nights weekly plus weekends, the venue has announced special expanded holiday hours through December 31st, offering Andersonville residents and visitors additional opportunities to explore its otherworldly installations. The timing coincides perfectly with the release of the 2025 Andersonville Neighborhood Guide, an annual publication showcasing the district's diverse selection of locally owned shops, restaurants, bars, and service providers. The newly released guide highlights the vibrant businesses, events, and community spirit that have earned Andersonville its reputation as the "Shop Local Capital of Chicago."

Visitors to the gallery are encouraged to combine their cosmic experience with holiday shopping and dining at nearby local businesses. Gallery owner Marina Sokolov invites the community to "make an evening of exploring both the stars above and the neighborhood gems along Clark Street" during the extended holiday hours. For complete schedule information, visitors can check the gallery's website or pick up a copy of the 2025 Neighborhood Guide at the Chamber of Commerce office at 1554 W. Hollywood.
