Foxtrot Marks Downtown Revival with Willis Tower Store Reopening in The Loop
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/The Loop ·
The Loop's retail landscape is getting a welcome boost as Foxtrot prepares to reopen its downtown location at the base of Willis Tower this winter. The upscale convenience chain announced on December 4 that this store will be the last of its original Chicago locations to return following the company's restructuring in 2024.
Foxtrot Chairman Mike LaVitola expressed confidence in the downtown location despite challenges in The Loop's commercial landscape, noting the company expects to open the Franklin Street-facing store in late winter. The reopened location will maintain Foxtrot's signature blend of café experience and convenience retail, featuring coffee, smoothies, wine, cheese, and grab-and-go options with a revamped food menu. The Willis Tower store will join seven other reopened Chicago locations and two in Dallas, becoming Foxtrot 2.0's tenth overall store.
This development adds to the positive momentum in The Loop, where, according to recent data, weekend pedestrian traffic has increased significantly with more than 30 new restaurants, coffee bars and stores opening throughout downtown by the end of 2025. The Foxtrot reopening signals continued confidence in The Loop's revitalization as a vibrant, 24/7 community space.
