Rogers Park's Jarvis Square Market Expands to Record 40+ Artisans for 17th Annual Holiday Event

Rogers Park residents and visitors are preparing for the community's largest-ever holiday shopping experience as the 17th Annual Shop Jarvis Square Holiday Market returns this Saturday, December 6, with more than 40 local artisans and makers. The expanded event transforms the historic commercial district at Jarvis and Greenview into a winter wonderland from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring unique handmade gifts alongside European-inspired seasonal treats.
Shoppers will discover a diverse range of handcrafted goods including jewelry, textiles, ceramics, artwork, and home décor while enjoying festive refreshments such as melted Raclette cheese, mulled wine, hot cider, and donuts. Family-friendly activities include appearances by Santa Claus, performances from local carolers, and storytelling sessions at participating cafés. "This year, we're thrilled to feature our largest number of artisans yet," says Jenni Smith, event organizer. "It's more than just shopping; it's a neighborhood gathering designed to make holiday memories."
The annual market encourages Chicago residents to "Live, Love, Shop Local" by investing directly in the small, independent businesses that define the neighborhood. Admission is free and open to the public, with the market conveniently accessible from the Jarvis Red Line station. Visitors can also participate in the Rogers Park Business Alliance's Live Love Shop rebate program by saving receipts from their purchases to earn cash back through December 31.
