New 'Holiday Artscape' Installation Illuminates The Loop with Interactive Light Experience

The Loop's holiday season is getting a dazzling new addition as the Chicago Loop Alliance unveiled the 'Holiday Artscape,' an interactive light installation that brings together over 50 local artists to transform downtown's iconic spaces. The community-focused display, which opened this week, features donation-based admission with all proceeds supporting Chicago Children's Charities.

Visitors exploring downtown can experience the installation alongside other seasonal attractions, including the Millennium Park Holiday Market in the North Promenade, which showcases more than 40 local artisans and small businesses through Sunday. The festive atmosphere continues with the Millennium Park Holiday Sing-Along series at Cloud Gate, featuring performances by Mark Hubbard & The Voices on December 5, The Beautiful City Project on December 12, and Roosevelt University Vocal Ensemble on December 19. The installation adds to the Loop's growing vibrancy, joining over 30 new dining experiences and retail stores that have recently opened or are set to open by the end of 2025, demonstrating continued investment in serving the area's hundreds of thousands of office workers, residents, and millions of tourists.
