Chicago's First-Ever Cookie Market Raises Sweet Success for Pediatric Cancer Research in Wrigleyville
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Wrigleyville ·
The inaugural Chicago Cookie Market made a successful debut this past Sunday at Christmas Club in Wrigleyville, bringing together 40 of the city's top pastry chefs for a festive fundraising event. Organized by Cookies for Kids' Cancer, this first-of-its-kind event transformed the popular holiday venue into a paradise for dessert lovers while raising vital funds for pediatric cancer research.
Attendees enjoyed a sweet showcase featuring treats from culinary legends like Gale Gand and Mindy's Bakery, alongside offerings from exciting new establishments such as Del Sur and Cafe Yaya. Participants sampled confections before selecting two dozen gourmet cookies to take home, all while contributing to a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the event benefit Cookies for Kids' Cancer, a national nonprofit supporting over 40 leading pediatric oncology programs, including Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. The market added another unique attraction to Wrigleyville's festive landscape, complementing the neighborhood's ongoing Christkindlmarket and numerous holiday-themed venues.
