Andersonville's Holiday Trolley Returns This Weekend with Expanded Route for Festive Shopping
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·
Andersonville residents and visitors can hop aboard the neighborhood's festive Holiday Trolley this weekend, December 13-14, as the beloved transportation service returns to connect shoppers with local businesses during one of the season's busiest weekends. The free trolley will operate from 11AM to 4PM both days, making continuous loops throughout the Clark Street corridor with expanded stops this year.
The timing perfectly coincides with two other significant cultural celebrations, creating a weekend filled with neighborhood traditions. Friday brings the annual Saint Lucia Festival with its enchanting candlelit procession down Clark Street beginning at 4:45PM, while Sunday features the special Menorah Candle Lighting ceremony. These events showcase Andersonville's commitment to honoring its diverse community traditions during the holiday season. Shoppers can also look forward to unique promotions at participating businesses, including Violet Hawthorne boutique's special SkinQ Holiday Pop-Up on December 20, featuring festive drinks, a make-your-own mistletoe station, and complimentary holiday cards.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to support Andersonville's reputation as the "Shop Local Capital of Chicago" by exploring the district's diverse collection of independent retailers. For complete details on trolley stops, consult the newly released 2025 Andersonville Neighborhood Guide, available at the Chamber of Commerce office at 1554 W Hollywood.
