Owner Katherine Duncan, whose shop at 2745 W. Armitage Avenue has become a neighborhood institution, described the decision as a "no-brainer." The shop, known for its European-style sipping chocolate once named "one of the best 15 in America" by Fodor Travel, has furthered its community commitment by launching weekly seasonal truffle and caramel flavors while donating portions of recent proceeds to local support organizations.
Neighbors looking to show their own support can visit Katherine Anne Confections Tuesday through Sunday for their signature hot chocolate flights or to sample from their rotating selection of 175 different truffle and caramel flavors created throughout the year. The shop also offers truffle-making workshops, chocolate and wine pairings, and special seasonal treats perfect for winter gatherings and holiday gifting.
