Wicker Park Kicks Off 2026 with First Fridays Art Walk and Yoga on the Shuffleboard Courts

Wicker Park art enthusiasts have a perfect way to start the new year as the neighborhood's popular 'First Fridays Art Walk' returns this Friday, January 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The free monthly event, organized by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, invites residents to explore the area's vibrant arts scene with multiple galleries opening their doors for special evening hours.

Participating venues include Jackson Junge Gallery, Tom Robinson Gallery, SoNa Contemporary Art, Torque Ltd., and Prism Spaces, where visitors can chat with gallery owners and artists while enjoying complimentary beverages and light bites at select locations. Adding to this weekend's community activities, Royal Palms Chicago at 1750 N. Milwaukee Avenue will host 'Yoga on the Courts + Cocktails' on Sunday, January 4, at 9:00 a.m. The $20 all-levels yoga class takes place directly on the shuffleboard courts, with participants receiving a complimentary cocktail and game of shuffleboard afterward, just before the Wicker Park Farmers Market pops up in the same venue later that morning.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of both events to connect with neighbors and local businesses as the community begins a new year of arts and wellness activities. The First Fridays Art Walk continues throughout 2026 on the first Friday of each month, providing ongoing opportunities to engage with Wicker Park's creative community.
