Palmer Square Park Council Announces Winter Concert Series for January 2026

Palmer Square residents have a new cultural series to look forward to this winter as the Palmer Square Park Council announces the launch of their first Winter Concert Series for January 2026. The series builds on the success of their popular "Live On Logan" performances that concluded in late 2025 with saxophone virtuoso Pat Mallinger's quartet performing the music of Sonny Rollins.

The final Live On Logan performance of 2025 featured Pat Mallinger and his quartet playing the music of Sonny Rollins at Palmer Square Park, with Mallinger reminding attendees he was a "charter member" of the series. Before that, the penultimate performance showcased Chicago's J. Davis Trio, a group performing their unique brand of "garage jazz" around Chicagoland since 1999. The Winter Concert Series aims to continue this musical tradition through the colder months, offering indoor venues for community members to enjoy local talent while connecting with neighbors.
