Chamberlain University Opens New Nursing Campus at Riverview at Roscoe in Avondale

Chamberlain University, a growing chain of nursing schools, has established its new Chicago campus in Avondale at the former WMS Industries complex along the North Branch of the Chicago River. The university has leased 75,000 square feet of the property, now known as Riverview at Roscoe.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue our mission of cultivating extraordinary healthcare heroes in Chicago's beautiful Avondale community," said Dr. Simendea Clark, Chamberlain University Chicago's campus president. The move has been welcomed by local leadership, with 33rd Ward Alderman Rossana Rodriguez noting: "We are excited to have this space finally occupied by an educational institution that will be preparing nurses in a time of such great need. We look forward to collaborating to make this area of the ward a better place for everyone."

The campus is part of a larger redevelopment by Baum Revision that brings "a mosaic of experiences with its position on the water, active campus environment and artistic elements." The property features flexible floor plates, over 500 surface parking spots, and provides space for creative work environments. Avondale residents interested in nursing education or career advancement now have a state-of-the-art educational facility right in their neighborhood, further cementing Avondale's reputation as one of Chicago's most dynamic communities.
