Andersonville Kicks Off 2026 With Community Meeting and 'Säg Hej' Campaign

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·

Andersonville residents are invited to start the new year with community engagement at the neighborhood's first Community Events meeting of 2026, scheduled for Tuesday, January 13. The gathering, organized by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, offers locals a chance to connect with neighbors and discuss upcoming initiatives for the vibrant North Side neighborhood.

The meeting coincides with the neighborhood's annual 'Säg Hej' (Say Hello) campaign running throughout January, a month-long celebration designed to bring warmth to the winter shopping season. The campaign encourages residents and visitors to connect with local businesses during typically slower post-holiday weeks. Looking ahead, the Chamber has already announced several exciting February events, including the highly anticipated Fika Fest on February 1-2, the popular Coffee & Cocoa Crawl on February 1, and the Great Andersonville Puzzle Exchange on February 2.

Residents are encouraged to pick up the 2025 Andersonville Neighborhood Guide from the Chamber office at 1554 W Hollywood to discover participating businesses and upcoming events. As the neighborhood proudly known as the "Shop Local Capital of Chicago," the Chamber reminds visitors that "when you shop, dine, and explore locally, you're not just visiting a neighborhood, you're becoming part of a community."
