PACTT School in West Rogers Park Receives $500,000 Grant for Autism-Focused Classroom Expansion
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Rogers Park ·
West Rogers Park's PACTT School has secured a significant boost for its mission to serve children with autism, receiving a $500,000 grant from the City of Chicago's Community Development Grant program. The funding will support a $3 million expansion project to create six new classrooms dedicated to youth with autism at their 7225 N. Greenview Avenue location.
The grant is part of Mayor Brandon Johnson's recently announced $33 million investment in community development projects across Chicago neighborhoods. PACTT (Parents Allied with Children and Teachers for Tomorrow), which has operated in Rogers Park since 1993, has built a reputation for providing specialized educational programs that help students with autism realize their potential as participating members of their families and communities.
Residents interested in learning more about PACTT's expansion or supporting their mission can visit their website at pactt.org or attend upcoming community events where PACTT participates. The school also collaborates with the Rogers Park Branch of the Chicago Public Library for 'Teen Time: Neurodiverse' activities, where teens from PACTT engage in crafts, games, and other activities on Tuesday mornings through January 2026.
