West Pullman Park Launches Winter Programming Series for Community Connection

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Pullman ·

West Pullman residents can look forward to a robust lineup of activities this winter as West Pullman Park introduces its winter 2026 programming schedule. Starting January 5th, the park will host various classes and events every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through mid-March, providing valuable recreational opportunities for community members of all ages.

Set against the backdrop of one of Chicago's few remaining native landscapes, the historic park offers a unique natural environment with its mature stand of oaks, hickories, and cherries covering an ancient river bank. The wooded slope creates a serene setting for winter activities while preserving an important piece of the area's natural heritage. Facilities available to residents include baseball fields, basketball courts, a football field, gymnasium, meeting spaces, playground, pool, tennis courts, and the cultural center—making it a comprehensive community hub for the neighborhood.

Residents interested in participating in the winter programming can register for classes in person or view the complete schedule on the Chicago Park District website. The park's advisory council also invites community members to attend upcoming meetings to share input on future programming and neighborhood initiatives.
