Andersonville Debuts 'Explore and Restore' Wellness Open House This Saturday

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·

The Andersonville Chamber of Commerce is kicking off 2026 with its inaugural 'Explore and Restore: A Health, Wellness and Service Open House,' a neighborhood-wide event focused on wellness in all its forms. The new event will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10 am to 2 pm as part of the annual Swedish-inspired Säg Hej Health & Wellness celebration.

Participants can explore various aspects of wellness, from physical and mental health to home design, financial planning, downsizing, and self-care by connecting with local businesses throughout the district. Visitors should check in at The Clark Street Trading Post (5706 N. Clark St.) to receive a punch card and the full schedule of the day's events. The Post will also host pop-ups from businesses that don't have brick-and-mortar locations on Clark Street.

The event embodies the spirit of 'Säg Hej' (pronounced "sag hey"), which means "Say Hello" in Swedish and reflects Andersonville's unique community character. At its heart, the celebration is about building connections – whether greeting neighbors, exploring new wellness practices, or learning from local experts. Residents and visitors are encouraged to register for this free event online and discover the many ways Andersonville businesses can support their wellness journey in 2026.
