Art Deco Meets Victorian Charm: Cafe Deko Opens New Location in South Loop's Printer's Row

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/South Loop ·

Cafe Deko has brought its Victorian-inspired flair and expanded menu to South Loop, establishing a stylish new coffee destination at 715 S. Dearborn Street in historic Printer's Row. Owner George Liapis decided on the South Loop expansion after successfully running the original Lincoln Park location for four years.

The coffee shop combines Victorian-inspired decor with the rich history of its home in the Donohue Building, which dates back to the late 1800s. While maintaining the same quality pour-over coffee that made the original location popular, the new Printer's Row cafe features a larger dining area and an expanded menu. Their chipotle sausage croissant – made with sausage, egg, gouda and chipotle mayo on a flaky croissant – has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. The owners hope to create a space where South Loop residents can "relax, connect and brew over new ideas and old memories."

Already receiving praise from early visitors for its warm ambiance and quality coffee offerings, Cafe Deko stands out with its thoughtfully designed interior featuring art deco patterns and vintage chandeliers. The cozy, whimsical atmosphere is enhanced by dim lighting and jazz music, creating an inviting spot for both casual visits and longer stays. South Loop residents looking for a distinctive coffee experience or a new work-from-home alternative should visit this latest addition to the neighborhood's growing cafe scene.
