Rogers Park's PACTT School is set to undergo a significant expansion after receiving a $500,000 grant as part of Mayor Brandon Johnson's $33 million community development initiative announced this January. The school, located at 7225 N. Greenview Avenue, will use the funds toward a $3 million project creating six new classrooms specifically designed for youth with autism spectrum disorder.

The expansion represents a meaningful investment in Rogers Park's educational infrastructure and demonstrates the neighborhood's commitment to inclusive learning environments. PACTT School is among 58 neighborhood improvement projects citywide receiving support through the City's Community Development Grant program, collectively representing $90 million in public-private neighborhood investments across Chicago.

"Lasting prosperity within our communities begins with revitalization efforts that center equity, community-driven development, and each neighborhood's unique needs," said Mayor Johnson when announcing the grants. Rogers Park residents interested in learning more about the expansion or supporting PACTT School's mission can contact the Rogers Park Business Alliance or visit the school's website for updates as the project progresses.
