Wicker Park's Winter Art Walk Series Expands with Special 'Fifth Friday' Event for January 2026

Wicker Park art enthusiasts have a unique opportunity this month with the addition of a special 'Fifth Friday' event to January's popular art walk series. The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce announced the extension of its regular First Fridays program with an additional art walk on January 30, 2026, marking the first time the organization has hosted a special fifth Friday edition for the winter season.

The free art walk, scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., will feature several participating galleries including Jackson Junge Gallery at 1389 N. Milwaukee Avenue, along with other neighborhood art spaces. Local gallery owners and artists will be available to discuss their exhibitions, with some locations offering complimentary refreshments to visitors braving the January chill. "This extension of our First Fridays program reflects the growing demand for arts events throughout the winter months," shared a Chamber representative, noting increased attendance at recent winter art walks despite seasonal weather conditions.

Wicker Park residents and visitors interested in participating should gather at Jackson Junge Gallery, which will serve as the starting point for the evening's self-guided tour. The Chamber encourages attendees to support local businesses by dining at neighborhood restaurants before or after the event, many of which will offer special promotions for art walk participants who present their event maps.
