Andersonville's Fika Fest Returns This Weekend with Expanded Coffee & Cocoa Crawl
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·
Andersonville residents and visitors can embrace the neighborhood's Swedish heritage this weekend at the annual Fika Fest, taking place February 7-8, 2026. The celebration highlights the Nordic tradition of coffee breaks, with the popular Coffee & Cocoa Crawl returning on Saturday from 10am to 2pm as a centerpiece of the festivities.
The Coffee & Cocoa Crawl on Saturday offers two different routes allowing participants to explore specialty offerings including coffee, hot cocoa, and bakery treats from local businesses. Throughout the weekend, various businesses in the neighborhood will offer discounts and specials, culminating with the Great Andersonville Puzzle Exchange on Sunday, February 8. The event is part of the neighborhood's effort to bring warmth and community spirit to the winter months, following January's month-long 'Säg Hej' campaign.
Community members interested in participating can register online through the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce website. Residents are also encouraged to pick up a copy of the 2026 Andersonville Neighborhood Guide to discover more about participating businesses and upcoming events. The Fika Fest represents another opportunity to experience why Andersonville has earned its reputation as the 'Shop Local Capital of Chicago.'
