Wrigleyville Prepares for Valentine's Weekend 'Cupid's Undie Run' Charity Fundraiser

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Wrigleyville ·

Wrigleyville residents are gearing up for one of the neighborhood's most unique Valentine's weekend traditions as Cupid's Undie Run returns to the area. The annual charity event combines a 'brief' fun run with a lively party atmosphere, all to raise funds for neurofibromatosis (NF) research, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.

The festivities are scheduled for February 15, 2026, at John Barleycorn Wrigleyville on North Clark Street, with doors opening at noon and the mile-long undie run taking place at 2:00 PM. Participants have until March 15, 2026, to continue fundraising for the Children's Tumor Foundation, with all proceeds supporting vital research. As part of a nationwide movement taking place in over 30 cities, the Chicago event keeps its mission simple: raise money for research, run with heart, and have a great time doing it. The Wrigleyville run has become known for its spirited participants who brave the February chill for a good cause.

Organizers encourage participants to wear festive underwear, costumes, tutus, or onesies while keeping things PG-13. While only registered runners will be allowed inside the venue, spectators are welcome to line the run course to cheer on participants. Wrigleyville businesses along the route are preparing for the influx of scantily-clad runners and supporters, with many offering special Valentine's weekend promotions. Residents interested in joining can register at cupids.org, with registration fees ranging from $40-50 depending on sign-up date.
