A Chicago Classic Turns 40 and Celebrates With a New Wrigleyville Home: Kincade's Is Coming to Clark Street

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Wrigleyville ·

Wrigleyville is about to get a new neighbor with deep Chicago roots. Kincade's, the beloved Lincoln Park bar, is opening a second location in the heart of Wrigleyville this month — and the timing couldn't be more symbolic. The expansion comes as the original Kincade's marks its 40th anniversary, making the move feel less like a business decision and more like a homecoming.

Kincade's Wrigley is set to open at 3660 N. Clark St., taking over the former Lost Never Found and Casey Moran's space directly across from Wrigley Field. The two-floor bar is the latest concept from Lucky 13 Hospitality Group, the team behind Matchbox, Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, and the recently opened Stolen Saddle. Leaders say the move has been in the works for nearly two years, with the runaway success of Stolen Saddle helping seal the deal. On Cubs home game days, the bar will offer free hot dogs with any drink purchase from an hour before first pitch through an hour after — a nod to its baseball-mad neighborhood. A rooftop space is also planned for the summer. "At its core, Kincade's has always been about community," said Lucky 13 district manager Evan Chew. "We wanted to bring that heart of it down here. Something a little more comfortable, a little more approachable."

With Opening Day on March 26 just around the corner, Kincade's Wrigley is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated new hangouts of the spring season. Keep an eye on Lucky 13's social channels for the official opening date announcement — and get ready to pull up a barstool across from the Friendly Confines.
