River North Gets a Stunning New Riverfront Dining Destination — and a Summer Fitness Festival to Boot

Near North neighbors, spring has arrived with a splash — and your neighborhood's dining and wellness calendars are about to get a whole lot more exciting.

First, the big restaurant news: NAIA, a sweeping new Mediterranean-inspired restaurant from Chicago hospitality group DineAmic, has just landed in River North with one of the most dramatic settings in the city. The venue boasts 150 seats on an expansive riverfront patio, plus 250 more indoors, all anchored by a coliseum-style dining room with clear views of the river and skyline. The patio features a full-service cocktail bar, oysters, and a crudo and sushi counter overlooking the water — an irresistible setup for warm-weather dining. Drawing on the bold flavors of Southern France, Spain, Italy, Greece, and the Levant, the menu spans fresh seafood, grilled meats, house-made pasta, and shareable flatbreads. NAIA even includes a dedicated indoor-outdoor event venue that can accommodate anywhere from 30 to 500 guests.

And if you're looking to break a sweat this summer, mark your calendars for Faces of Fitness Chicago 2026, a two-day outdoor wellness festival hitting River North on July 25–26 at 421 W. Locust Street. Billed as "Lollapalooza but for fitness, health, and wellness," the event features live workouts, celebrity fitness instructors, a Wellness Village, and live music — with a portion of proceeds benefiting Urban Initiatives, a Chicago nonprofit supporting local youth.
